This blog is a classroom assignment for journalism at Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School in Wichita, Kansas.
The school is named for Father Emil Joseph Kapaun, born 1916 on a farm near Pilsen, Marion County Kansas. Father Kapaun was a priest who, in 1951, died in a North Korean prison camp during the Korean War. The Roman Catholic Church declared him a Servant of God and he is now a candidate for sainthood.
